Finned tubes consist of thin fins wrapped over the tubes to increase the heat transfer area. Straight tube or finned tube product design can be made according to the purpose of use and ambient conditions. It is wound in a certain thickness, height and pitch according to the tube diameter determined as a result of the necessary calculations according to the process requirement and the heat transfer requirement.
According to the need with the combination of finned tubes; It consists of special product groups such as serpentine, economizer, radiator and recuperator.
In the G configuration, a finned tube type in which the fin is mechanically embedded in a groove towards the inside of the tube and that groove is locked in place by forcing rollers at the top of the blade centre.
L/LL/KL finned tubes are widely used in air-cooled heat exchangers such as radiators, evaporators and condensers, as well as in industrial process heating and cooling applications.
L finned tubes, LL (Double L) finned tubes, KL finned tubes (knurled fin tubes) (with aluminum fins)The aluminum fin strip or the copper fin strip is folded into an L shape and spirally wound tightly under the action of tension on the outer surface of the base tube. Tension in the fin strip is wrapped around the tube serves to make the fin foot forcefully on the tube, thus hold the fin firmly in place.
SERPENTINES
Relevant information for finned tubes that can be wound according to tube diameters is in the table:
Spiral Wing SerpentinesIn the serpentine, the blades are wrapped around the tube by pressure (compression). Serpentine productions are similar to G-winged serpentines. In the serpentine, as in the G-winged serpentines, surface opening and compression is not performed between the two surfaces, the material is stuck into the tube with its own resistance. Serpentines can be manufactured as painted, electro galvanized and dipped galvanized.
Washer Arranging coils have excellent thermodynamic properties, it is a finned tube with an optimized shape. Dual flaking coils enable us to achieve excellent heat transfer. Rectangular fins in the serpentine surface area have been developed to provide the best heat transfer. It also allows for an affordable value and compact design. High capacity transfer and low pressure losses are provided in this coil.
Rolling (Self Finned) TubesIn the serpentine, the blades are pressed inward by pressure around the tube. In this way, wing formation is provided around the tube in the serpentine. Since there is no gap between the fin and the tube surface, the serpentine provides excellent heat transfer properties. It creates a strong structure. Tubes in the serpentine can be made of carbon steel, stainless, copper, aluminum and brass.
Oval Tube CoilsAfter the tubes are formed into ovals with special molds, they are arranged in special molds in the desired dimensions and the plastering process is performed. The most important feature of this serpentine structure is that it is preferred when low pressure losses are required on the air side.
