Air Diaphragm Pumps

MAXWOR air diaphragm pumps are positive displacement pump systems that operate with compressed air, require no electricity, and can be safely used across a wide range of fluids.

These pumps provide high durability in the transfer of abrasive, viscous, particulate, and aggressive chemicals; they offer a safe operating advantage especially in explosive environments where ATEX requirements are necessary.

Thanks to their self-priming design, dry-run capability, and low maintenance requirements, they are widely preferred in the chemical, wastewater, mining, and process industries.

Operating Principle

Air diaphragm pumps operate with two flexible diaphragms and an air valve system.

Compressed air is directed to one of the diaphragms via the air valve. As one diaphragm moves forward, the fluid is discharged to the outlet line, while the other diaphragm simultaneously moves backward, performing the suction process.

Thanks to the check valve system, flow is controlled in a single direction and the cycle continues continuously by alternating the air direction.

With this operating principle, the following is achieved:
