Drum Pumps

MAXWOR drum pumps are compact, vertical-shaft pump systems designed for transferring liquids from 200-liter drums, IBC tanks, and small storage tanks.

They are especially used for the safe transfer of chemicals, acids, solvents, oils, and additives. These pumps offer practical usability thanks to their lightweight structure and modular motor options.

With body materials suitable for different chemical groups and Ex-proof motor options, they provide reliable transfer solutions in chemical, food, petrochemical, and industrial facilities.

Operating Principle

Drum pumps are generally produced with two different operating principles:

Centrifugal Type

  • Used for high-flow transfer of low-viscosity fluids.

Screw / Positive Displacement Type

  • Preferred for viscous and dense fluids to ensure constant flow and controlled transfer.

The impeller or screw system connected to the pump shaft rotates, drawing the liquid from the bottom of the tank and transferring it to the outlet line.

Design & Material

Drum pumps are designed with different material options depending on the chemical structure and temperature of the fluid to be transferred.

Casing / Tube

  • PP (Polypropylene)
  • PVDF
  • AISI 304
  • AISI 316

Shaft

  • Stainless steel
  • Hastelloy (optional)

Seal & O-Ring

  • EPDM
  • Viton
  • PTFE

Motor Housing

  • Aluminum

In pump selection;

  • chemical structure of the fluid,
  • viscosity,
  • transfer distance,
  • operating temperature,
  • daily operating time,
  • Ex-proof requirements,
  • drum type

must be taken into consideration. Incorrect material selection may cause sealing problems and chemical degradation.
