CIP Systems

CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems are integrated hygiene engineering solutions that enable the fully automated, in-situ cleaning of tanks, pipelines, pasteurizers, heat exchangers, reactors, and aseptic process equipment without the need for disassembly.

By combining hygiene, process continuity, and energy efficiency on a single platform, MAXWOR CIP systems establish a secure production infrastructure for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries.

The primary objective is the complete removal of product residues, the prevention of microbiological contamination, and the management of all cleaning processes in a traceable manner.

Technical Specifications

  • CIP systems operate through automated cleaning cycles consisting of pre-rinsing, alkaline cleaning, intermediate rinsing, acid cleaning, sanitization, and final rinsing stages.
  • The entire process is controlled by a PLC, enabling precise management of temperature, pressure, flow rate, chemical concentration, and cycle time.
  • Conductivity sensors and automatic dosing systems ensure accurate chemical control, while turbulent flow design maximizes cleaning efficiency across all product-contact surfaces.
  • Single-line, multi-line, centralized, and mobile CIP systems are available to accommodate a wide range of production capacities and facility layouts.
  • Chemical recovery, heat recovery, and water consumption optimization help reduce operating costs, while data logging and SCADA integration provide complete process traceability.

Design & Material

  • CIP systems are engineered based on detailed calculations that consider process equipment geometry, piping layout, fluid properties, and hygiene requirements.
  • Maximum sanitation is achieved through AISI 304 / 316 stainless steel tanks, hygienic surface roughness, dead-leg-free design, and CIP-compatible piping systems.
  • The system integrates hygienic pumps, automated valves, plate or tubular heat exchange units, and advanced sensor infrastructure.
  • During the design process, flow and turbulence calculations, chemical contact time, temperature stability, and validation criteria (FDA, EHEDG, HACCP, GMP) are taken into account.
  • Thanks to its modular and expandable structure, the systems can be easily integrated into different production lines, while turnkey installation and commissioning ensure fast and safe operation.
