Expansion Tanks

Expansion tanks are pressurized vessels used in closed-loop systems to compensate for volume changes caused by temperature variations and to maintain stable system pressure.

They ensure system safety by protecting equipment against excessive pressure.

Technical Specifications

  • They are compatible with various systems thanks to an operating pressure range of 6–16 bar and a wide capacity range.
  • With diaphragm or membrane design, the expanding water is separated from the gas chamber, ensuring balanced system pressure.
  • The pre-charge gas pressure can be adjusted according to the application.

Design & Material

  • A long service life is ensured with a carbon steel body, epoxy-coated inner surface, and electrostatically painted outer surface.
  • High durability is achieved through the use of EPDM or butyl diaphragm materials.
  • System volume, pressure, and temperature parameters are carefully considered during the design phase.
