Braided Metal Hose

MAXWOR braided metal hose solutions are flexible connection elements designed to provide high pressure resistance through a flexible metal bellows structure reinforced with stainless steel wire braiding. They are used for vibration absorption and movement compensation.

These hoses reduce vibration and mechanical stresses generated at pump, compressor, motor, and moving equipment connections, thereby increasing system safety. Their flexible structure accommodates installation tolerances and minimizes fatigue risks at connection points.

Manufactured with single or double stainless steel braid options, metal hoses provide reliable performance under high temperature, high pressure, and demanding process conditions.

They are widely used in HVAC systems, process plants, hydraulic lines, and industrial equipment connections.

Technical Specifications

Design and Operating Principle

Braided metal hoses are designed with a stainless steel metal bellows structure reinforced by wire braiding layers, providing both flexibility and high pressure resistance.

The metal bellows absorbs axial, lateral, and angular movements, while the stainless steel braid carries external pressure loads and increases the mechanical strength of the bellows.

Flanged, threaded, or welded connection options allow easy integration into various piping and process systems. Thanks to their compact and lightweight structure, they offer installation convenience as well as vibration and impact damping performance.

Performance Advantages

  • Effectively reduces vibration and noise
  • Protects piping systems and equipment connections
  • Safe operation under high pressure conditions
  • Provides flexible connection capability
  • Easy installation and maintenance
  • Reduces mechanical stresses
  • Long service life
  • Compact and lightweight structure

Operating Values

Operating Pressure

  • Maximum 200 bar
  • (depending on DN size, hose construction, and braid layer count)

Operating Temperature

  • -196°C / +600°C
  • (depending on bellows and braid materials)

Movement Capabilities

  • Axial Movement: ±5 mm – 30 mm
  • Lateral Movement: ±10 mm – 80 mm
  • Angular Movement: ±5° – 15°

Note: Braided metal hoses should not be used as expansion joints for applications requiring large axial expansion. Their primary purpose is to provide flexibility and vibration damping.
