Technical Specifications
Design and Operating Principle
Braided metal hoses are designed with a stainless steel metal bellows structure reinforced by wire braiding layers, providing both flexibility and high pressure resistance.
The metal bellows absorbs axial, lateral, and angular movements, while the stainless steel braid carries external pressure loads and increases the mechanical strength of the bellows.
Flanged, threaded, or welded connection options allow easy integration into various piping and process systems. Thanks to their compact and lightweight structure, they offer installation convenience as well as vibration and impact damping performance.
Performance Advantages
- Effectively reduces vibration and noise
- Protects piping systems and equipment connections
- Safe operation under high pressure conditions
- Provides flexible connection capability
- Easy installation and maintenance
- Reduces mechanical stresses
- Long service life
- Compact and lightweight structure
Operating Values
Operating Pressure
- Maximum 200 bar
- (depending on DN size, hose construction, and braid layer count)
Operating Temperature
- -196°C / +600°C
- (depending on bellows and braid materials)
Movement Capabilities
- Axial Movement: ±5 mm – 30 mm
- Lateral Movement: ±10 mm – 80 mm
- Angular Movement: ±5° – 15°
Note: Braided metal hoses should not be used as expansion joints for applications requiring large axial expansion. Their primary purpose is to provide flexibility and vibration damping.
