Technical Specifications
Design and Operating Principle
Fixed flange expansion joints absorb axial movements occurring in pipeline systems through their stainless steel metal bellows structure. The bellows provide controlled flexibility, minimizing mechanical stresses caused by thermal expansion.
The fixed flange connections at both ends can be manufactured in accordance with DIN or ANSI standards. The design is optimized to ensure long-term safe operation under high temperature and pressure conditions.
Performance Advantages
- Safely absorbs axial movements
- High temperature and pressure resistance
- Reduces stress on pipelines and equipment
- Easy installation thanks to flanged design
- Low maintenance requirement
- Compact and robust construction
- Long service life
Operating Values
Operating Pressure
- Maximum 40 bar
- (depending on DN size, bellows layers, and design)
Operating Temperature
- -196°C / +550°C
- (depending on bellows material)
Movement Capabilities
- Axial Movement: ±10 mm – 50 mm
- Lateral Movement: Limited
- Angular Movement: Limited
Note: Fixed flange expansion joints are primarily designed to absorb axial movements. In applications with significant lateral or angular movement, different types of expansion joints should be used instead.
